About Vikings

Some of the fiercest warriors the ancient world had ever seen came from the frozen lands of the Norse, Vikings were seafaring adventurers who traveled in longboats. These ships were equiped with a multitude of oars for Viking hordes to row their way to foreign lands were often built to resemble imposing dragons with an towering helm at the boat's front. To keep warm on those chilly Scandinavian nights, Vikings wore large pelts of fur fashioned into garments and massive horned helmets as part of their distinctive battle armor. In their off-time, Vikings enjoyed chugging delicious mead as a means of relaxing.

Some of the most famous Vikings include Erik the Red and his son, Leif Erikson, who discovered Greenland.

Dressing up as a Viking

Get your pillage on with an imposing Viking costume, trimmed in battle-ready faux fur and "metal" armor! Go berzerker with a horned helmet and a long wig and beard to wear beneath your Viking helmet. Draw a Viking sword from your belt or wield Thor's hammer when headed into battle, or making a mad dash for the appetizer table at your next party!

Ladies can channel their inner-Valkyrie with several Viking maiden costumes that include a horned helmet with attached long, blonde braids and a fitted bodice with "metal bra" styling.

Add a fun and modern twist on the Viking look and dress as the irritable driving Viking of the Snickers commercial. Grab a candy bar, a steering wheel or garbage can and a few friends dressed as Henry the Eighth, a Pilgrim, and a few other costumed characters and become the life of the party!
