Who would have ever thought that Playboy would last as long and become as popular as it did? Well, a man with a dream, a pipe, and a smoking jacket did! Hugh Hefner, affectionately known as "Hef", launched Playboy magazine in 1953, using his own capital and loans to fund his business venture. Chock full of articles geared to men and tasteful nude or scantily-clad pictorials became the Playboy stock-in-trade, occassionally earning the ire of censors, but eventually conquering them with Hef pioneering new territory. At 82 years old, Hef is still going strong, branching out into new ventures including the wildly popular cable show, "The Girls Next Door," featuring three of his lovely girlfriends who reside with him at the Playboy Mansion. The ol' boy's still got it!

Dressing up as Hugh Hefner

Hugh Hefner is rarely seen without his trademark velvet smoking jacket. Several styles of smoking jackets are available, in deep, classy hues of dark purple or rich red, accented with a black sash and trim on the collar and cuffs. Pair it up with either black dress pants, or silky, satin pajama pants and a distinguished looking ascot tucked into the neck of your smoking jacket.

Add a pipe and a Playboy bunny or two on your arm to really give it that "Hef" touch!
