About Panda

Though Panda Bears are carnivores they are still seen as wonderfully cuddly animals in cartoons, pictures, and by children. The panda bear is not always the most popular of costumes for the Halloween season. Panda bears or the Giant Panda are found in the mountain ranges in central China such as Sichuan, Shaanxi, and Gansu. They used to live in lowland areas, but farming, forestation, and other developments have restricted the food they eat and the space they need. Giant Panda’s are actually on the endangered list. A panda is black and white. Meaning they have a white head, belly, and rear, but the rest of their bodies are going to be black such as the feet, ears, and the chest and the rest of their back. They also have black rings around their eyes. Pandas are a fan of bamboo, but they do eat other foods like honey, eggs, fish, yams, shrubs, oranges and bananas.

Dressing up as Panda

Pandas have been a symbol for the Chinese for many years as that is really the only place these animals can be found. If you are hoping for an inventive costume that will make you look cute and adorable this year the Panda may just be the outfit you need. The panda costume comes in children’s and adult sizes. There are also suits for a budget. The infant to children’s suits tend to be one piece with a zipper in the back and more white than a normal panda has. They suit has a hood for the head and ears to complete the ensemble. For the adults you have a couple of choices. An adult Panda suit can be a hood with ears like the infants, or it can be a full mask with the bear face, a panda has in the wild. For accessories with your outfit you may decide to carry around a live or fake bamboo plant. Your whole family can be a family of Panda’s as well, though typically in the wild they live alone after reaching a couple of years old.
