About Ostriches

The largest living bird in the world, the Ostrich is unique in its appearance and for the fact that it cannot fly. The ostrich has a long neck and long legs that carry it at speeds up to 46 mph, the fastest of any bird on land. And a single kick from its powerful legs can do a lot of damage, capable of killing someone with its force. Its large, distinctive plumage is is , and black and white and has been used to make feather dusters, adorn haute couture and even in in Vegas showgirl costumes.

Dressing up as an Ostrich

Nothing attracts attention like an ostrich. Really. That's not something you hear every day, so it would stand to reason that if you want attention, dressing up as one of these striking creatures or using their eye-catching plumage to create a costume and you will be the focus of the room.

Dress up as a Vegas Showgirl with a Ostrich headdress, decked out with startlingly white feathers jutting from a red bejeweled headpiece as the basis for a sparkling showgirl look that would make Elizabeth Berkley green with envy!

Or, gallop into the party on Ollie Ostrich or Olivia Ostrich, two large and loveable land-birds in costume form that provide the illusion that you're actually riding them. The bird costume slips over your head, but a pair of fake "legs" are attached to the costume itself, looking as if you've slung yourself over the back of your feathered friend.
