About Mary Poppins

Based on a series of children's books written by P.L. Travers, Mary Poppins was introduced to countless generations with the 1964 Walt Disney musical starring Julie Andrews and Dick Van Dyke. A cheerful, magical nanny sent to tend to the Banks children, Mary Poppins shows them the wonders in every day life and brings the distracted Banks' parents closer to their children as a family. Mary Poppins' most distinguishing characteristic is her talking, flying umbrella that allows her to float high above the rooftops of London.
