iron man Costume Ideas
About Iron Man
Contrary to the popular Black Sabbath song (which, incidentally, is also the first song any good hesher learns to play on the guitar along with "Smoke on the Water"), Tony Stark's Iron Man was not turned to steel in the great magnetic field. Rather, the international playboy/inventor/billionaire Tony Stark had been kidnapped by enemies while on a mission to help invent a high-tech weapon for the United States. Although he was gravely injured, his kidnappers wanted him to build them a weapon of mass destruction for their own uses. Instead, Stark used the items given to him to construct a suit that both saved his life and helped him to escape from the enemy. This prompted him to assume the identity of Iron Man, protecting the innocent with his costume full of gadgets and tricks.
Dressing up as Iron Man
With the new, live-action Iron Man film coming out, the Stan Lee and Jack Kirby creation is ready to become one of the hottest selling costumes this Halloween season. Whether it's a vintage, comic-book styled costume in bright yellow and red, or a sleeker and more modern, metallic red and gold costume based on the look from the movie, there's an Iron Man costume for every fan of Ol' Shell Head out there!
In sizes to fit adults and children, each Iron Man costume comes with an Iron Man mask, a padded "muscle" top and bottom to give the illusion of Stark's heavy duty armor. Some of the newer, Iron Man movie -inspired costumes have a "light-up" feature embedded in the costume's chest piece. Really complete the look with a pair of Iron Man gloves to cover your hands and give the effect of a full suit of armor.
