About Ghost Busters

Ghostbusters first hit our world in 1984 when Dan Aykroyd, Harold Ramis, Rick Moranis, Bill Murray, Ernie Hudson, Sigourney Weaver, and Annie Potts all teamed up in Hollywood to create the movie. The film was about three guys trying to prove there were ghosts and exterminating them. What they found was even more involved when they had to battle a huge demon like ghost that was taking over New York. The first movie was so successful that they made a sequel in 1989. There was also a television animated series created in the 80’s to add to the hype of the movie.

Dressing up as Ghost Busters

The ghost buster costume is rather simple. All one needs is a full suit. The full suit can be white or gray in color with the zipper on the front. To make it official the Ghostbusters logo should be stitched into the costume. You can find several of these costumes online for children up to adults. Added to the costume are their ghost busting equipment packs. These tools help to catch the ectoplasm of the ghosts and get them into the machine where they are destroyed. The packs are rather large and go on the back with a ray gun to get the ghosts into their cage. There is also a sexy adult Ghostbusters costume for women that has a pith helmet to top it off. If the Ghostbusters costumes aren’t enough you can have the Annie Potts costume or dress up as Rick Moranis or Sigourney Weaver from the film. Slimer is one of the ghosts that was seen in the first film that carried through to the other shows. Slimer is a green glob and perfect for an infant costume or child.
