About Crypt Keeper

Tales of the Crypt was actually a comic book from EC Comics before it was made into a television show. The first time the comics were published was in April of 1950. The last publication was five years later. Overall there were 30 comics created. The Crypt Keeper was one of the main characters in the comics as the host. When the show was launched on television the Crypt Keeper remained as host to tell you of the tale about to occur. A couple of movies were also made based on the Tales of the Crypt comic. The Crypt Keeper is usually a joker, who is just a pile of bones with a talking skull and thin white hair. HBO first aired the series, but it has since been run on a new channel called Chiller, if you want to see the old episodes.

Dressing up as Crypt Keeper

Crypt Keeper costumes generally come in adult sizes, but you may find a few child costumes as well. To start the Crypt Keeper will have a mask with long white hair. The mask will resemble a skull with evil eyes, and a decomposing smile. The outfit the Crypt Keeper has will be dependent on you. You have the official Crypt Keeper costume of tuxedo complete with bony hands or you can go for a Crypt Master costume. The Gate Keeper is another costume choice you have.
