About 70s Clothes
Bellbottoms, butterfly collars, disco suits, love beads, mini dresses and medallions. All of these were staples of a solid 70s wardrobe. In a ten year span, grungy hippie wear gave way to groovy glam clubwear right at home in Studio 54. That didn't include everyone, though. Headbands and short dolphin shorts with striped tubesocks were all the rage for girls and roller skating enthusiasts alike. Teens wore their favorite band's ringer t-shirts with bellbottom jeans and either sneakers or platforms. Any way you look at it, fashion was far out, man, in the 70s!
Dressing up in 70s Clothes
No matter what your favorite fashion statement of the '70s may have been, we've got you covered. Shake your groove thing with a white disco suit with a black button down dress shirt, just like John Travolta in "Saturday Night Fever." Don't forget a Travolta wig or an afro wig so that your hair is nice and high, slicked back and ready for chicks to run their fingers through! Ladies can "Do the Hustle" with their partners in swanky disco diva wear with sky high platform shoes.
Or, fight the establishment in a hippie costume with love beads draped around your neck, sporting tie dye and bellbottoms. Put on a long hippie wig if you're a guy or a girl and paint your face with peace signs, hearts, and all manner of Flower Power imagery.
Ladies can flaunt their taste for free love with a hot mod minidress or a midriff baring hippie girl costume. Or, channel Roller Girl from "Boogie Nights" with striped tube socks, a tube top, dolphin shorts and a pair of rollerskates!
